History Title

LOVE OF DIAGRAMS (Monika Fikerle (drums), Antonia Sellbach (vox + bass) and Luke Horton (vox + guitar)) formed in Melbourne in 2001. Simply put, the band came together through connections within the music scene in Hobart Tasmania, where Antonia and Monika lived for sometime...

After a couple of years of playing instrumental music, we recorded our debut record for Unstable Ape Records THE TARGET IS YOU in 2003. In 2004 we released an ep WE GOT COMMUNICATION (which came out as a 7" in the UK on The Passport Label) which included the introduction of vocals from both Antonia and Luke. In late 2006 a S/T EP came out on Unstable Ape in Australia, and in early 2007, the first release on Matador Records was a shorter version of this s/t ep, with an added track, a live cover of Pylon's 'Cool'. In 2007 the album MOSAIC, recorded at Electrical Audio Studios in Chicago with Bob Weston, was released world-wide on Matador Records.

In late 2008, we recorded a new album NOWHERE FOREVER with Ryan Hadlock (Gossip, Blonde Redhead, Steve Malkmus etc) at Bear Creek Studios in Seattle. This album came out in Australia on Unstable Ape/Remote Control in August 09.

Over this time we've toured throughout Europe, the US and Japan, and hope to again soon........
